Single images can be exported from the recorded video. These can be stored locally on the hard drive or on a USB stick. The image can be saved as a JPEG image, or converted to a PDF document that includes additional information like the camera name, date and time and pre/post images. Optionally the operator can include a short comment.
To export an image a layout with one playback panel and playback controls is needed. Select the playback panel, with other words the image, you want to export. Search the image with the trackbar on the playback controls panel and click ’Export current image’ button to open the Export image dialog. It shows you the image and information about the image. The default storage location for the images is ’My documents’. This location can be changed. Click ’…’-button to change location.
This dialog contains the following components:
Preview image to export
The dialog will show the current selected image that will be exported
Crop
Click the crop button and highlight a part of the preview image to export only that part of the image.
Path
The save location for the export. Press the browse button to change
Filename
The filename for the export. This will always have the following format:
[DeviceIP_YYYYMMDD_HHMMSS]
Export Format
Select if the image should be exported in JPEG or PDF
Comments field (PDF only)
An optional field to place a comment in the export.
Maximum of 12 lines and 72 characters per line.
Include pre/post images (PDF only)
Check this option to add 2 pre images and 1 post image to the PDF export.
Quality (JPEG only)
Decrease the quality of the image to reduce the filesize of the export
Using image crop
Image cropping can be used in both JPEG and PDF export. To enable, click the “Crop image” button. This wil enable cropping, and a green rectangle highlight will be visible in the preview image.
Click and drag the area you wish to crop with the mouse button.
Only the highlighted portion of the image will be exported. To disable the cropping, click the “Crop image” button again.
