Passenger since 2008

Since 2008 the French legend was available. TANT À DÉCOUVRIR; at the bottom. The registrations have been issued in all the BEAa series and in some of the BCAa and BSRa series.

Commercial since 1996

Commercial vehicles have white plates with black lettering having, ONTARIO at the top and YOURS TO DISCOVER at the bottom.

Green vehicle since 2010

ONTARIO at the top and GREEN VEHICLE at the bottom; the registration being GV, two serial letters, a flower and three numerals.

Passenger since 1983

ONTARIO at the top. from the TMB prefix to about VYJ as a suffix, the blue on white plates had the legend YOURS TO DISCOVER, that and ONTARIO being in a sans-serif typeface.

Passenger since 1996

Ontario at the top. These plates picked up where the previous series had left off, around the VYJ series. These plates, featuring a modified numbering format, remain the current Ontario passenger issue as of 1998.

Trailer since 1994

Trailer plates are permanent and do not require revalidation. Trailer in stacked letters at the left side. Ontario on top. Little Crown separator (crown of Canada).

Passenger since 1997 yours to discover

Since 1997 the American style was available. AAAA, BAAA, CAAA and three numerals separated by a crown. No G,I,O,Q,U used.

Truck since 2011 tant a decouvrir

On commercial trucks (vehicles), license plate stickers are affixed in the top right of the front plate, as shown in the photo. The top left corner may be used for other stickers relating to vehicle use or taxation. Legend is Tant à Découvrir.

Truck since 2011 yours to discover

Since 2006: PA - PZ prorate trucks (sfx) (PRP vertically at left).

Trailer since 1980

Until 2002 trailer plates had two or three numerals, a crown, two numerals and a letter or, more recently, one letter, two numerals, a crown and three numerals; TRAILER is at the bottom with ONTARIO at the top.
