Profiles are a collection of devices, settings and macros. Each profile can have different device settings and macros. For instance a user can define a ’day’ and a ’night’ profile, each with it’s own settings and macros specifically tuned for that situation; day or night.

Only one profile can be active at a time. Activating a profile is done manually by the user or automatically using the calendar. When Setup is active the calendar is deactivated and the selected profile in the profile list is activated on the server, to directly show the impact of changed profile settings. When switching to Live mode the calendar is activated again if needed.
