Technical Article | TA-20201002-TP-16 VDG Sense | Video Content Analyses | ObjectR Advanced |
For an optimal use of VDG Sense with ObjectR, the guidelines should be closely followed.
Lighting:
Don’t use domes, the shape of the dome could causes problems with rain.
Disable OSD.
Disable auto-shutter.
Choose right lens for application.
Lens and camera type must be suitable for both daylight and infrared.
Viewing angle should fit detection zone.
Make sure there is sufficient lighting throughout the scene.
Virtual fencing:
The camera view should not be obstructed by any (semi-) stationary objects such as plants, trees etc.
Detection zones should not be placed on the opposite side of a road, to avoid occlusion by passing trucks.
Camera should be fixed as steadily as possible to avoid shaking due to wind, passing vehicles.
Max distance on normal camera is 75m, including blind spot.
Object must be at least 5 pixels wide and 20 pixels high. Another definition is ”pixels on target”, which would be 5×20=100.
Camera images must overlap such that relevant objects are always completely visible on at least one camera.
Keep the blind area underneath the camera (cam2) in mind when its mounted at a corner. Again, cam1 must cover this area.
