Installation

Q: I can not find the Cosmos Access application

Q: I can not install the Cosmos Access application

A: Please verify if your device is suitable:

Android

Required versions:

  • Android version 8

  • API version 24+

iOS

Required versions:

  • iOS version: 13

  • Model: iPhone 6S+

Registration

Q: Who is sending the invitation email?

A: Email invitations are send by the Access Control system.

 

Q: I cannot find my invitation email.

A: Please check your spam/junk box.

 

Q: The registration button is not working.

A: As work around you can also copy/paste the invitation link and add the organization manually into the Cosmos Access application.

A: If you are using the native Samsung Email client, please make use of another client by forwarding the email.

 

Q: My registration is not accepted.

A1: An invitation can only be used once.

A2: An invitation contains an expiry date determined by the Access Control system. When expired, the invitation will not work anymore.

Wish: Show expiration date in email invitation.

 

Q: How do I know if my registration is successful?

A: Once the registration is successful, the new registered organisation will be added into your “my organization” list.

 

Q: What happens when I delete an organization?

A: This action cannot be undone. To have the organization in your Cosmos Access application again, you need to be re-invited by the Access Control system.

 

Q: What happens when I have a new mobile device?

A: Organizations are added per mobile device, not per person. Therefore a new invitation is required. Because of security reasons, data can not be moved from device to device.

Connectivity

Q: Can I only use my mobile device once at a card reader?

A: Once a virtual card is sent, the mobile device must first be helt out of the card reader range before it can sent a virtual card again. This is to prevent continuously virtual card sending

Q: The reader is not responding at the desired distance

A: The Cosmos Access application sensitivity can slightly be adjusted in the settings menu of the app.

 

Q: i’ve got the error:

A: This means that the time of the mobile phone is out of sync with the time of the Token Authority. Due to security reasons it’s checking the time frame of a JWT communication token.

Normally at android you can go to settings-> general management → Date and time and enable the “automatic date and time synchronization.
