Compatibility

  • VDG Sense 2.7.1 can be upgraded to VDG Sense 2.7.2

  • VDG Sense 2.7.2 is NOT compatible with any VDG Sense version before 2.7.1

  • Settings backups VDG Sense versions before 2.7.1 can NOT be imported in VDG Sense 2.7.2

  • All user passwords will have to be reset to a 12-digit password in 2.7 (when doing an upgrade from 2.6)

  • VDG Sense 2.7 as a clean install will install Postgres database version 14.6, but is compatible with earlier used version 13.3 (VDG Sense 2.6) and 9.2 (VDG Sense 2.5 and older).

With the release of VDG Sense 2.7 architectural changes are made which break backward compatibility with previous versions of VDG Sense. This also means any SenseClient or SenseServer before 2.7.1 is not able to connect to a 2.7 server or client.

Minimum Software Requirements

  • Windows 10, minimum build number 17063.

  • Windows Server 2016 RS4, minimum build number 17063

  • Windows 7 is NOT supported.

For Windows, minimum build number 17063 is required, because support of Unix sockets is required to run VDG Sense 2.7.
