Description:

The purpose of this guide is to explain the Officemode. The office mode is being used to open a door during a period of time. When you present a card to the reader with office mode during the office mode time zone, the door will open and stays open. If you present the card again the door will close, the door will also close when the time period is over.

Configuration:

Step 1 - Set up a time-zone

During this time-zone the door will react to cards with the office mode function enabled on it.

Access> Settings > Time zone

Right-click in the left panel and select “Add Time zone”

To add a time zone element, right click op the day you want to add it to. With the mouse you can move it and make it bigger or smaller.

Do this for all days you want a office mode on. Press the “Save” button and the time zone elements will appear below the time zone in the left panel. There you can fine-tune the elements.

Step 2 - Set up the card for office mode

Go to “Card”:

Access > Card

search for the card and on the general tab is the office mode setting:

Step 3 - Set up the reader.

Go to “Readers”:

Installation > Hardware > Readers

Select your time zone in the “Office mode time zone:” selection box.

Depending your iProtect version, 2 settings can appear.

Office mode status

With this checkbox you can set the door in Office mode by the GUI.

Confirm office mode

This function is only visible when there is a “Door position:” input used with this reader. The office mode will only work when the door is opened.

When you present your card with office mode setting, the door will open and stays open.

The status will also change to “Office mode”

When the time zone becomes inactive at 17:00, it will set the door to its normal working state.
