Requirements of mounting of camera providing the highest efficiency

Mounting camera parallel to the edge of the platform
Mounting camera high enough to avoid covering up by crowd
Camera should face the train coming

Limitations of the algorithm

A very crowded platform could limit detection
Rapid changes in lighting could generate shadows and false alarms
Instability in mounting spot of camera
presence of moving objects in the image, eg. The revolving door, often opened the door, moving object like a tree.
low contrast could prevent detection of objects
Deposited dropsĀ  of water at camera cover
Small objects (football) or if somebody throws something on the track could cause some alarms.
Water fumes caused by persons cleaning the platform using a pressure washer could cause an alarm
People leaning over the platform could cause an alarm
Train standing still for a longer period of time can cause an alarm
