The Sense software is linked to the hardware on which it is installed and activated. To transfer the Sense software to another machine, you can use the deactivation feature in the software. After these steps you can (re)activate your software on a different machine. Is you hardware broken and your are unable to deactivate your software? Then you can reset your license. Our employees will help you as soon as possible in order to restore a secure environment on short notice.
Step 1: Requirements
An activated Sense Client and Sense Server installationSince Sense Server has no graphical user interface, therefore you need to activate the Sense Server software via a Sense Client.
A Sense license keyYou can use either the license key file on the USB stick or provided by email. You can also manually enter the license key by pasting or typing it.
Contact detailsIt may be possible that we contact you personally to verify your request of reset of your license. If you do not provide these details, we are unable to fulfill your request.
Step 2: Send reset request
To request a reset of a the license you need to complete the reset wizard on the Sense Licensing Portal. You can access the Sense Licensing Portal at the following link: https://service.vdgsecurity.com/en/licensing/reset.
In order to reset the correct license, we need some of your license details and contact information
Step 3: Activate License
Your request will be examined by our staff and they will contact you if needed. If your reset request is approved, your will be informed by email. After approval you will be able to activate your license on a different computer.
