Trigger an alarm when the angle of the camera is changed or the lens is covered
A scene change event is any event in a known view that significantly changes the camera’s field of view, such as the camera being panned away from a known view, a camera being turned off or unplugged, or the lights being turned on or off. A known view is a live camera feed that matches a stored view. A stored view is a camera field of view that has been designated in the system for monitoring by a sensor. A scene change event can cause some sensors to stop monitoring a camera. Sensors that support forensics data may no longer generate useful primitives and video. Some examples of scene change events include the following:
The lights are turned on or off within a camera’s field of view.
A camera is panned, zoomed, or jostled from a known view.
ObjectR loses the signal from a surveillance camera, which occurs when the camera is turned off or loses its power source (e.g., by being unplugged).
Sensors that can detect scene change events can only detect them when the sensor is in a known view. For example, if the lights are turned off while the sensor’s status is Searching for Known View or Unknown View, no scene change responses will be triggered for that event. Refer to Checking Sensor Status for more information about sensor statuses.
