VDG Sense | Setup | Profiles | SceneR

SceneR is the name for realtime camera tampering detection in VDG Sense. The algorithm can detect if there are sudden changes in the field of view or if the camera picture is suddenly dark or bright, for instance if camera is covered with something or when the lights are turned off/on. With SceneR activated the following two events can occur:

SceneR camera angle changed: The camera image is very different than the image the camera has been looking at before.

SceneR camera ref angle changed

SceneR scene loss ref : The camera  is covered with something or when lights are turned off/on.

Setup

SceneR Setup
Activates or dectivates the SceneR module for this camera.

Speed
The speed of the SceneR module. Three settings, from Low to High are possible. The SceneR module response time depends on the frame-rate of the camera. The speed settings correspond to:

  • Low
    Response within 32 frames.

  • Medium
    Response within 64 frames.

  • High
    Response within 256 frames.

Sensitivity
The sensitivity of the SceneR module. Three settings, from Low to High are possible. A high sensitivity corresponds to higher detection rates, but also to a increased risk of a false alarm:

  • Low
Big changes  in field of view

  • Medium
Medium changes in field of view

  • High
Minimal changes in field of view

SceneR mask
If certain areas of the images need be ignored for SceneR, for instance areas where there is much activity like a parking lot or a door opening, a SceneR mask can be configured. To enable the mask check the radio button ‘SceneR Mask’. To start drawing press and hold left-mouse button. More areas can be defined. To remove press and hold right-mouse button. IMPORTANT: If the radio button ‘None’ is selected, it does not mean the SceneR mask is disabled, it will only not display the mask.
