How to update older software version?

Apply to: All Siqura codecs

Encoder with firmware version 1.xx - 3.xx cannot be updated with the .sqrfw file via the web page.
At the time, there were special upgrade tools for this, which are no longer supported in the current Windows version.

In this article an explanation to be able to update old encoders

Condition: TFTP Client

Make sure that the Windows Feature, TFTP Client, is checked.
This setting can be found in the Windows Control Panel.


 

How to:

Download and extract UpgradeBat.zip in a new folder. (bottom of page)

Copy the firmware xxx.nkffw in the same folder

open "Command Prompt" , go to the folder.

Type:

Upgrade <IPnumber> xxx.nkffw (enter)
