How to reset Siqura XSNet managed switch
Reset the password
If you cannot access the switch because you do not know the password, follow the procedure below to reset the password to default (this procedure will only reset the password, it will not affect any other configuration parameters).
Connect PC and Siqura XSNet switch via DB9 console cable Open terminal emulation program (Putty, HyperTerminal, etc.) Baud rate: 115200, Data bits: 8, Stop bits: 1, Parity: none
Power cycle the switch.
Hold down the CTRL + d key combination while the switch is booting up until it is stopped at the ADM5120 # prompt.
Press the Enter key a couple of times to clear any extra characters, it might give you the Unknown command error, this is ok, just stop at an ADM5120 # prompt.
Issue the reset password command.
The switch will reboot; after the reboot, you can login with the default username of root (all lower case), and a blank password.
Reset switch to its factory default settings using the CLI
Connect PC and Siqura XSnet switch via DB9 console cable Open terminal emulation program (Putty, HyperTerminal, etc.) Baud rate: 115200, Data bits: 8, Stop bits: 1, Parity: none Or use a Cat-5 cable to connect a computer to the management access port of the switch and Telnet to the switch's management IP address.
After logging into the switch, issue the enable CLI command to enter privileged mode (you will see a new prompt with the # character at the end).
Issue the restore default command to reset the switch (if you are using the Telnet protocol to access the switch, you will lose the connection to the switch after this step).
The switch will reboot; after the reboot, you can login with the default username of root (all lower case), and a blank password (if you are using the Telnet protocol to access the switch, you will need Telnet again into the switch using the default IP of 192.168.1.10 (24 bit subnet mask).
Reset switch to its factory default settings using the web interface
Connect a laptop to the management Access Port on the switch through a Cat-5 cable and open a web browser to the management IP address of the switch.
After logging into the switch, navigate to System > Save Configuration page and click the Restore Default button.
The switch will reboot; after the reboot, you can re-open a web browser to the default management IP of the switch at 192.168.1.10 (24 bit subnet mask), and login into the switch using the default username of "root" (all lower case), and a blank password.
