The Cosmos Config Park Eyes solution can be used by the installer in order to configure camera’s.

Installation

Download and install the Cosmos Config application:

Android

Required versions:

  • Android version 7

  • API version 24+

IPROTECT Config - Apps on Google Play

 

After successful installation, the mobile application can be launched and the installer can choose the market segment he would like to work at. In case of Park Eyes, the parking solution is the market segment which should be selected.

Configuration

With the Park Eyes solution the installer is able to configure a camera in two different ways.

  1. Via a configfile.zip which can be uploaded into the Cosmos Config app.

Here all camera’s and settings will be pre-loaded for the installer.

2. Manually per camera.

Here the installer can set manually the configuration settings and configure a camera.

 

1. Upload dataset via config file and configure camera’s

 

Once the app is opened, the default landing page in the parking solution is “Garages”. By pressing on the green round button, a config file can be uploaded. By pressing the Green button, permission to you photo’s and media is required in order to upload is it successfully.

This config file contains the layout of the parking garages split into sectors.

After selecting the config file, the Cosmos Config app will provide you feedback if the upload went correct or not. You can upload multiple config files into the same Cosmos Config app which will be displayed as different garages.

With the switch-view button at the top right, the view can easily be changed.

Configuring camera’s via the dataset

By pressing at the garage you would like to configure at, the available sectors will be shown. You need so select at which sector you would like to work at.

After selecting the Sector, the page will be loaded where all the camera’s are visibele within this specific sector. It possible to navigate through the sector by zooming in and out at your mobile device.

Once you zoom in, the Cosmos Config app will show you the configuration status of the camera’s. The camera’s which are white need te bo configured, the camera’s which are dark grey are already configured. This will give the installer a clear status overview.

By selecting a camera, a QR code can be generated by pressing the green QR code button. It’s also possible to use the carrousel at the downside to easily move to the next, logic, camera number.

By pressing at the QR button, the QR will directly, automatically be generated:

This QR code can be presented to the camera. Once the camera accepted the QR code, it will blink green. you need to swipe the QR code weather it went successful or not. To the left, if not. To the right, if yes.

Now you’re ready to configure the next camera.

In the bottom bar, there is a switch view button available to switch the view from a map overview, to a camera list.

From here you can select the desired camera and create a QR code as well. The procedure is exactly the same as described above. By clicking at a configured camera, it’s also possible to undo the configuration.

2. Configuring camera’s without dataset

Once the Cosmos Config app is opened, you need to switch the tab to QR code.

By IP Address: By pressing at the IP Address button, you are able to generate a QR code by a IP Address you fill in.

In order to provide the correct network settings, it’s possible to change them in the option pull up field below:

After filling in the IP Address, the QR code will automatically be generated.

By QR code By pressing at the QR Code button, you are able to generate a QR code by a ID you fill in. which can be filled in at the three dots

 

After it filled, the carrousel will automatically increase with the logical following up numbers and the corresponding QR code.

by going via the hamburger menu to settings, it’s also possible to set the network settings.
