NVH-1003 Quick start guide

This is a quick start guide for the NVH-1003 Network video display decoder. This guide walks you through the basic setup and is designed to give you a basic understanding of the device settings that is needed to install and configure the device.

This guide will cover the installation of the NVH-1003 into your DIVA/Sense Server network, the NVH Web-interface and its default settings. The NVH-1003 is fully preconfigured with an active license and DHCP settings.

NDD Setup

Follow these steps to connect the NVH to your network

  1. Connect the 12 DC power adapter to your power socket.

  2. Connect a monitor to the NVH through either the DVI or HDMI port

  3. Connect an ethernet cable coming from a DIVA/Sense server network

  4. Press the power switch located on the back to boot the system

The NVH-1003 needs to be connected to the same network as the DIVA Server. In the above schematic, you can see an example setup of 2x NVH-1003 in a single DIVA Server network. To add the NVH, login into your Sense server and click the ‘Monitor’ tab and click ‘Find’. The dialog should automatically discover decoders in your network.

Sign in

To access the NDD interface, open a browser on any machine in the network and enter the default IP address in the browser address bar (see Network settings).
Enter the username and password in their corresponding fields and click ‘Sign In’to sign in.

Web interface

Username: administrator

General Settings


Hostname:  Network hostname
Description: General description for references purposes
Software version: Current installed software version

DIVA Username: The username of the Sense Server
DIVA Password: The password of the Sense Server
Transcoding: Enable to transcode images over the network (disabled by default)

 

 

Network settings

Enable DHCP: The NVH is preconfigured with a specific IP address. Enable this option to automatically use the default network settings.

By default, the NVH uses the following parameters:

IP-address / Netmask: 192.168.0.100 / 255.255.255.0

Browser compatibility

The following internet browsers are recommended for the DIVA Web-interface

Firefox: 33+

It is NOT recommended to use “Internet Explorer”, “Chrome” or “Safari”
