Technical Article | TA-20201002-TP-04 VDG Sense | Video Content Analyses | FaceR |
Note: FaceR functionality is not available in VDG Sense 2.5 or higher
Use FaceR/FaceD in controlled environment:
Prevent uncontrollable, erratic influences like sunlight.
Use artificial lighting to ensure evenly illuminated faces.
Prevent (overhead) lighting which causes shadows in the face.
Persons should look straight into the camera.
Only minor parts of the face may be covered.
Eye distance (distance between pupils) should be at least 60 pixels for optimal performance.
Max vertical angle of camera is 15 degrees.
Besides comparing faceprints with the person lists, risk profiles can be programmed to detect people returning within a pre-defined period of time. All these events can be used to trigger macros, or activate other components like outputs, layouts etc.
