Introduction

In the current shape of the ForeSight application, we make a distinction between configuration and operator functionalities. At this moment we have two different UI’s available, one for the operator and one for the configurator. We are now merging the configurator UI into the operator UI. But this isn’t finished yet.

Preparing the ForeSight system

Settings that need to be done via the current UI (available via foresight-url:9004) are:

  • User configuration; Adding users with specific skills and assign them to an operator group

  • Operator group configuration; At least one operator group is needed for routing cases to an operator. This can be done with or without case pushing (will automatically start a workflow)

  • Business rule configuration; The Business Rules define (automated) actions for the call or event. An example of this is that certain calls or events can be forwarded to the right operator group and start a workflow.

  • Workflow configuration; Due to the workflow module, operators will be able to process events more easily and efficiently. In addition, this ensures clear and simple handling of events, which guarantees quality.

  • Schedules; Create a schedule that can be used in a business rule or for a ‘call transfer’

  • Phonebook; Create your own phonebook for forwarding (intercom) calls to external people from the phonebook

  • Physical devices; The physical device is the part where you configure the device details, for example, the intercom numbers for intercom stations.

  • Logical devices; A logical device is a combination of physical devices and has a location. I.e. a door has an intercom and a camera.

  • License; A license is needed to use the devices in ForeSight

  • Services configuration; Here you can enter the details for the service that are connected to the FlinQ ForeSight system (ie. Commend, WPS, IPParking)

  • Location configuration; A location will be attached to a logical device and gives extra information for reporting. Location details can also be used in the business rules (facts).

Login as an operator

For operator functionalities, we have designed a new UI. By default, the application is behind port 9001. For opening the login screen you go to the url: foresight-url:9001.

After you have entered your username and password you need to pair your session with an intercom station.

Create a dashboard

  1. Mouse over the top of the application and click on the user icon in the top right corner

  2. Go to settings

  3. Create a new dashboard via the + button

  4. Add widgets on your dashboard by clicking on the widgets in the widget store

  5. Resize your widgets by clicking in the bottom right corner and move your mouse

  6. Move your widget to the right place by clicking on a widget and move your mouse

  7. For saving your dashboard you can go back via the arrow button in the menubar
