There is no specific license needed beside a reader license. IPS-ON - online card reader license (44)

OSDP v2 is supported by IPROTECT Access 10.3

2. Connection the reader

The reader is connected to a stacked Orion (USB). For more information, please consult the manuals of:

3. IPROTECT Access

OSDP readers are handled by the nodemanager so provisioning of the reader is not necessary.

3.1 Setup an OSDP reader

  1. Select the line to which the osdp reader should be added.

  2. Select the Orion port to which the osdp reader should be added.

  3. Add a node of type OSDP.

  4. Fill in the standard things like, name, etc.

  5. Select OSDP compatibility

    1. Fully compliant

    2. IDESCO (as non compliant)

    3. IDESCO V2 (as non compliant)

  6. Select the desired baud rate

    1. Used speed is: 9600 baud for IDESCO OSDP card readers

    2. Mark <Node on line> as active

    3. Now the Orion port can be used as OSDP communication port.

  7. Select the created node in the tree view. Click on the right mouse button and select <Add reader>

  8. Set up the reader as usual

  9. Go back to the line and press the discover button

    1. The communication will be started

    2. Version information will now be shown for example:

      1. hw:1000, sw:4470b, SNR:eec70f, VendorCode:48 B3 13

3.2 Settings

For OSDP readers there are some specific settings:
