VDG Sense | VDG Integrations | AlphaVision

Alphavision is the intrusion detection system from Alphatronics which is integrated in VDG Sense to link alarms from Alphavision to video in VDG Sense. It is also possible to enable or disable alarm zones in Alphavision using VDG Sense.

To enable these functions the ‘AlphaVision plugin needs to be enabled. This is explained in the article ‘Alphavision plugin‘.

Events from Alphavision

The following signals can be handled by the macro engine in Sense:

Intrusion
If an alarm is triggered in an armed section, an intrusion event will be triggered.

Arming/Disarming
Send when a section is armed or disarmed.

Alarm
If a zone is triggered, it will send an alarm event. An alarm is not to be confused with an intrusion event. The signal can be configured for a single zone.

ZoneOK
If a zone is triggered, it will send an alarm event. When the trigger ends, the zone will go back into Zone-OK or REST mode. The signal can be configured for a single zone.

Actions to Alphavision

The following actions can be handled by the macro engine:

Arm sections
Arms one or multiple sections.

Disarm sections
Disarm one or multiple sections.

Examples

Plugin parameters – Signals

Sense will detect AlphaVision events as separate signals. If multiple zones or sections are triggered at the same time, you need to configure each signal individually for the macro system to respond. Below are a few examples of how to configure certain conditions for the macro to trigger.

Condition: Activate macro if any section is armed

Use the parameter “Any section”

Condition: Activate macro if section 1, 2 or 4 has an Intrusion event

Create 3 separate signal slots for each individual section. Set the condition of the macro to “Any”.

Condition: Activate macro if section 1 and 3 are disarmed

Create 2 separate signal slots for each individual section. Set the condition of the macro to “All” and define a timeframe in which the conditions need to be triggered for the macro to be executed.

Plugin parameters – Actions

The macro system can arm or disarm multiple sections at once. To do this, enter the Section number into the parameter field. Separate multiple sections with a comma.

Action: Arm sections 1, 2, 4 and 5
