Video active, but no PTZ ? -> set Authentication (username and password)

When a camera/encoder with PTZ (Pan Tilt Zoom) shows live stream in a Video Management System (VMS), but the PTZ does not work, make sure Authentication of the camera is correct set in the VMS.

 

Default Authentication of Siqura camera's and encoders is:

  • Username: Admin

  • Password:  1234

 

For cameras/endoders with old firmware, the username is,  admin    and NO password

 

Reason:

The PTZ information uses another (data)stream than the video stream.

The video stream does not need Authentication and 

the data stream with PTZ information does need authentication.
