Alphatool

To add an AlphaVision server to Sense, you will need the AlphaTool to locate and configure your AlphaVision setup. The AlphaTool can be downloaded from the Alphatronics website. After connecting to the AlphaVision server, open the tab IP Settings and enable the Generic interface group.

Note that using AlphaTool with Firmware version 4.01 or higher requires VDG Sense 2.4.26 or 2.5.3 or higher.
For further information on configuring the AlphaVision, we recommend reading the AlphaVision instructions manual.

Sense Settings

After the AlphaVision server has been fully configured and installed, you are ready to add the server to Sense. To do this, enable the AlphaVision plugin found in the plugin tab in the configuration menu. After the plugin has been enabled, the AlphaVision plugin options can be entered.

Note: The plugin is only available in VDG Sense 2.4.26 or 2.5.3. You can acquire the AlphaVision plugin files for earlier version by sending a request to support@tkhecurity.com

  • Usercode
    The PIN code used on your AlphaVision control panel.

  • PreSharedKey
    The preshared key that is used to communicate with the AlphaVision setup. The key can be found in the “Encryption key” field in the AlphaTool IP Settings tab.

  • Address
    The IP address of the AlphaVision setup.

  • Port
    The local port of the AlphaVision setup.

After the plugin has been configured, you can use the Sense macro engine to send signals to your AlphaVision server or perform actions based on AlphaVision events.
