What is Face Detection?

Face Detection, or FaceD, is an optional feature which is available with a valid Sense Pro license. This feature will give Sense the ability to detect faces and act accordingly.

Settings for the FaceD algorithm are made in the Profiles menu.

FaceD Setup

To enable FaceD on a device, open the profile tab and select the subtab “FaceD”.

Activate Face Detection
Activates or deactivates Face Detection. Note that FaceD cannot be activated on devices that have FaceR activated.

Detection mode
FaceD has two types of detection modes:

• Average Face Size (recommended)
  Use the average face size in comparison to the device resolution.

• Minimum Face Size
  Detect every face that is a minimum of the configured percentage.
