Configuration

This tab is used to configure PTZ capabilites of cameras supporting PTZ.

 

  • Dome type
    The PTZ protocol of the connected dome camera.

  • Preset Type

    • Server Presets: Store Preset position on server.Supported for selected dome drivers

      • TKH Security Solutions Driver

      • Pelco

      • IP Axis

      • IP Siqura

    • Device Presets: Store Preset position on device

  • Dome address
    RS-485 address to which the dome is connected to.

  • Baudrate
    The configured connection speed. The following options are available: 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200 and 38400.

  • PTZ Timeout
    The number of minutes after PTZ movement before the dome is performs the Timeout Action. If set to 0, the timeout action will not occur.

  • Timeout Action
    Set the behavior of the PTZ Timeout.

  • Home Preset
    Select which preset should act as the “Home preset”

  • Continuous PTZ Polling

    • Default off, only to be used in API if the position needs to be updated regularly via API events

  • PTZ polling interval

    • Works with continuous

  • Reverse
    With the reverse setting the commands for left and right, up and down are reversed.

  • PTZ Control Rose
    By dragging the mouse over the control-rose you can control the position of the dome. The zooming factor can be set with the zoom-in and zoom-out buttons. The focus can be set by using the Focus-in and Focus-out or the Auto-Focus button and the Aperture can be set using the Iris-Open and Iris-Close or the Auto-Iris button

Configuring a preset

Defining preset position

  1. Use the PTZ Control-rose to place the device in the desired position

  2. In the Preset list, select the preset number you wish to edit

  3. Click the “Set” button to set the current position as the preset value

  4. Save

Changing Preset name

  1. In the Preset list, select the desired preset

  2. Double click in the name column to edit the name

  3. Type in the preset name

  4. Click outside the list to close the edit dialog

  5. Save

Events

  • PresetOn, Value=[preserNr]

    • When server presets are used the PresetOn event is send when the position of the Preset is reached. The presetNr has the value of the preset on which the camera will be set.

    • When device presets are used the PresetOn event is send when the goto preset command is given. The presetNr has the value of the preset on which the camera will be set.

  • PresetOff, Value=[preserNr]

    • The PresetOff event is send when the position is changed or set to a different preset. The presetNr has value of the preset on which the camera was set.

  • PresetError, Value=[preserNr]

    • Will be send if server presets are used and the position of a preset is not reached within 30 seconds after the command is given

These events are visible in the eventlist and can be used in server and viewer macros.
