In some cases, it is useful to be able to search for the events, below are several options.
Last events
You can find the last events in the iProtect treeview: It's a real-time overview of all events, you can mark the pause checkbox to stop the real-time events overview.
General → Overviews → Last events
It's a real-time overview of all events, you can mark the pause checkbox to stop the real-time events overview.
Extended event selection
You can find the extended event selection in the iProtect tree view:
General → Overviews → Reports → Extended event selection
In the field “selection by period” you can set the start date/time and the end date time.
If you click with the right mouse button in the date/ time field, a calendar will be pop-up. Select your start or end date and time.
In the field “selection by event type” you can select the type of event. It is possible to filter the list (2) with dropdown menu “Subsystem” (1). Selecting “All subsystems” will show the whole list.
For example:
Subscriber card: no access
Subscriber card: change access area
Line down
Action failed
After you select the date/ time and the type of event (2), you click on the button “Search” (3), and you get the results in the field below the search button “4”
You can also filter the event to specify on a selected item.
For example:
Item: Reader
Search keyword: Name of the reader
The result (4) shows only the events of the selected reader.
Most searches are about item:
Accesskey, Reader, Person, Line, Node, Alarminput, Alarmoutput
The filter works only at one line. So multiple filters will give an empty result.
We can show the result of your search in several options:
File: you can create a csv or XML file
Report: you can create a PDF report
Show: the result will be displayed below the search button.
Custom grouping
With custom grouping you can search for events on more than 1 item. For example we show the case when you want to see the events of two readers.
Installation > Database > Custom grouping
Create a new Custom grouping by right click in the left panel and select “Add custom grouping”.
Give it a logic name and select “Reader” at “Table name”
Click below the new item on the left on “Grouping element list”, and select the readers.
Now you can go to the Extended event selection and select at “Item”:
CUSTOMGROUP (Group)
At “Search keyword” you will find the new custom group name.
