*Entering personal data
Introduction
In iProtect™ you enter the data of people who get a card and who thus gain access to a building and/or a car park. It is possible in iProtect™ store a large amount of information about these individuals.
This data shall be entered in the item General | Person. This item contains general information such as name, address, and place of residence as well as specific information such as a photo or date of the last event and card number(s). It is mandatory to fill in the last name. All other fields may remain empty.
Entering personal data
Entering the personal data is done in the Person dialog. This dialogue can be adapted to the business situation by adding additional fields. It is therefore quite possible that this dialogue in your situation has a different form of appearance than is used here. But for the method of entering, it makes no difference.
You will now first enter your own data into the system.
Open the menu: General | Person.
Right-click the left frame to create a new person.
You’ll see the next window.
Please enter your last name. (Only mandatory field)
Press [Tab] to take the cursor to the next field. It is also possible to use the mouse.
Fill in the requested information and move to the next field.
Fill in the remaining fields. If a button with a pulldown arrow is behind a field, you should use the mouse to click the arrow. A list will appear. Click one of the words in the list, and you’ll see that word appear in the field. It is not allowed to fill in a word that is not in the list.
The personal data you have entered must be stored. In iProtect™ there are three ways to store data:
By using the button “New”
By using the button “Save”
If the last name is entered and goes to the next field by <tab> to the next field, the name will be saved.
Once you’ve saved the person and you select in the left frame the personal name, you can click the right mouse button and then add a card, administration number, phone, license plate, or memo.
Adding a photo to a person
Adding a photo is especially important when using an Access Request. In addition, showing a photo of an employee or visitor can be very essential. This in connection with by searching for the person or the extra piece of safety it entails. The photo can also be used then using a card layout.
Give a person a double-click in the area of the photo.
You’ll see the next window or window that looks like it.
The Upload button lets you search for the right photo and import it. Note: File must not exceed 2Mb. Preferably JPG format.
If the check mark Save in list: is marked, you can specify a name that will put the photo under Saved pictures.
Searching for a person
In the menu General |Person you can do a search in multiple ways. All search fields, including the free and selection fields, appear in the left frame: search category.
Furthermore, on the left screen, you can fill in a name in the Name: field or press the “Search” button directly. Pressing “Search” directly retrieves and displays all people. If the list of names becomes too long, the system will give an option to show the next page at the bottom of the list of names. …Next.
